Romantic 1940s vintage cap-sleeved evening gown/wedding dress created of a cream-colored organza with a velvety flocked floral design in a golden yellow color. The dress features a fitted bodice with a battery neckline, a large rear bow flowing down the back, a nipped waist, and an A-line skirt with a series of bows down the center front. The dress is fully lined and still has its original sheer horsehair crinoline sewn into the skirt for shaping. The dress closes at the back with a metal zipper.

Bust measures 34 inches, waist measures 25 inches and the hips are 56 inches. There is no stretch to the fabric. The dress is 55 inches in length.

CONDITION: The dress still had the drycleaning tags attached from the last time it was drycleaned and put into storage (my guess is that was 70 years ago). There is slight surface dirt from decades in storage - underarms are clean, no staining and wearable as is. Fresh drycleaning would be a bonus but that is up to the lucky new owner. Overall, excellent condition.
